Running Services Under Different Users

By default when the G-Health Server services are installed they run under the "LocalSystem" account. For various reasons one might want to run the G-Health server services under a different user such as using a user's credentials to connect G-Health to an external SQL database. This is all configured under the service in Windows Services

There a few important considerations here:

  1. The user must have access to the certificate stores if that is where the SSL Certificates are stored.
  2. When upgrading G-Health and a new version is installed then you must reconfigure the service to use the credentials as this is not persisted across an upgrade.
