Time Sync

In video surveillance it can be critical that all systems have the correct time and that they are closely in sync. Especially when nearby cameras are recording to different systems and you wish to playback video from the cameras synchronised in time.

G-Health can monitor the Time Sync of G-Health Clients. Alarming if they drift too far from the time of a configured time source (NTP server).

The default NTP Server for G-Health is 'time.windows.com'. To configure a custom NTP server navigate to 'Settings' from the navigation bar and then click on the 'Time Sync' tile. Here you can enter your own NTP server address.

In a private network where the default internet based time server is not available you may wish to install a time server local on the G-Health server using a free NTP software such as NetTime.

Warning

G-Health does not set the time on the NVR. It only monitors if it is in sync with the Time Source.
